Christian Motivation Let God be in Control!

cross500Christian motivation is a whole different ball game than the world’s idea of doing what you want with drive and determination. Christians should desire to please the Lord and not themselves or others.

As Christians, you should not be crowd pleasers, working for self glory, fame, applause, or fortune. “Know your why” for building your home based business and let God’s Word motivate you and lift you higher.

You want to be able to spend quality time with your family, have the ability to raise your kids in a Godly environment, have the finances to accomplish your goals and dreams, by owning your own business… and to create this you must also be willing to let God be in control.

Today you have the opportunity to take the world out of your business and put the Word in. (Take the “l” out of world) God is waiting for you to turn over the reins to Him and let Him be in control.

When you allow God to take control of all aspects of your life, you open the door to multiple blessings in your life, your home, your business and your well being. God is waiting on you!!  So take the reins in your hands and throw them into the air and let God grab hold of them!

If you never give God a try, you will never know the blessings He can bring to you. So why not give it a try, let God be in control and then sit back and see what kind of results you get.  The Word of God promises to take care of you. You need to have faith, trust in God and the willingness to listen to what God says.

1 Chronicles 29:12 Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all.

Have a Blessed Day!

Impacting our everyday lives

As I was sitting here debating on what to post today, I ran across this email from a good friend and spiritual mentor.  This message today was written to share with others, especially since we are all facing the same challenges of dealing with today’s society.

Encourage yourself in The Lord, and encourage others as well.  With so much negative impacting our everyday lives, many of us find it harder and harder each day to be encouraged.  Even the media and marketing ploys hit us with dozens of messages a day that suggest we are inferior if we don’t buy what they’re selling.  The only way to be “cool” enough, thin enough, healthy enough, or even happy is to buy their products.

Against this hailstorm of negativity, The Bible tells us here in Hebrews – and in many other Scriptures, to encourage each other constantly!  This message must be important for it to be written so many times.  We are to rise above our circumstances…and we can – through the Joy of The Lord and His Promises.

Psychologists say it takes at least five  “Way to go!’s”  to overcome one  “You stink.”  The writer of Hebrews takes it two steps further:  encouragement makes us wise to sin  and  able to change,… so we actually “stink” less.

What area of your life do you need encouragement in?  What can you do to encourage yourself… and others?

A big Thank You to my friend and mentor on God’s Word, John Holland for putting together this message today.

Do Diligence

The Lord tells us

Proverbs 10:4 – He becomes poor who works with a slack and idle hand, but the hand of the diligent makes rich.

Proverbs 12:24The hand of the diligent will rule, but the slothful will be put to forced labor.

In today’s world, everyone seems to be seeking something for nothing, or they are expecting everyone else to do it for them. That is not what God has intended for us.

You should be the one setting the example for your employee’s, your family, and your friends. Why are you expecting everyone else to do the work, just so you can reap the rewards.  Your do diligence is noticed. Your laziness is noticed. One can bring you great rewards, the other will bring you poverty.

It is time to step up and be the person God intended you to be. A leader!!

You punish your children for disobedience, yet your behavior is where they learned it from.

You reprimand your employee’s, yet they have learned the behavior from you.

Take a look at yourself in the mirror and see what others see. What kind of changes need to be made in your life to reflect the actions you want from others.

Do Diligence! The art of practicing what you preach!
