Christian Motivation Let God be in Control!

cross500Christian motivation is a whole different ball game than the world’s idea of doing what you want with drive and determination. Christians should desire to please the Lord and not themselves or others.

As Christians, you should not be crowd pleasers, working for self glory, fame, applause, or fortune. “Know your why” for building your home based business and let God’s Word motivate you and lift you higher.

You want to be able to spend quality time with your family, have the ability to raise your kids in a Godly environment, have the finances to accomplish your goals and dreams, by owning your own business… and to create this you must also be willing to let God be in control.

Today you have the opportunity to take the world out of your business and put the Word in. (Take the “l” out of world) God is waiting for you to turn over the reins to Him and let Him be in control.

When you allow God to take control of all aspects of your life, you open the door to multiple blessings in your life, your home, your business and your well being. God is waiting on you!!  So take the reins in your hands and throw them into the air and let God grab hold of them!

If you never give God a try, you will never know the blessings He can bring to you. So why not give it a try, let God be in control and then sit back and see what kind of results you get.  The Word of God promises to take care of you. You need to have faith, trust in God and the willingness to listen to what God says.

1 Chronicles 29:12 Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all.

Have a Blessed Day!

Decision Making – Right or Wrong Way

How many times have you done this? How many times have you been undecided when it comes to your business or your life? Sooner or later you are going to have to make a decision, right or wrong.

Why do you put yourself through the pain and agony of self doubt? You know what you need to do, and then you start to second guess yourself.  Does this sound like you?

How about today you make a decision based on your ability to know whether it is right or wrong.

If you have felt compelled, or led to do something but the negative nagging about spending the money knaws at your stomach then

  • first, question why you are getting this feeling
  • next, question if what you are being led to do is from God or not
  • look at all the facts of what you feel led to do
  • make sure you can afford what you are seeking to do
  • talk to some of your closest advisors for advice

I have found that when God has led me to do something, and I go against it I get the nagging feelings. I have also found that when I am tight on money I tend to be hesitate to make that step out in faith to follow what I have been led to do.

When we started our Internet Radio Stations I had no intentions of working here, the reason was that I wanted to keep my nice paying job so that I could guarantee a flow of money as the business was getting started.  I didn’t want to be in a bind by having us both work at the same place relying on whatever we sold to survive.  I did not have complete faith in God at that time, to provide for my family, and I felt like by me keeping my job, I had security and an income to cover my family needs. However, God had other plans for me, I lost my job 1 week after we opened the office. For 3 months I pounded the pavement searching for another job, and then it hit me… God wanted me to be with my husband in our own business, a business that was built for spreading the Word of God around the world. Our first station was Apostle Internet Radio @ . It is the cornerstone of this company and the foundation. Once I excepted that this is where I am suppose to be, the station prospered. Today, over 7 years later, we are still in operation and we have never had to borrow to keep the doors open. God has always provided what we need, when we need it.

Take courage from my story and do what you feel you are led to do. God knows what He is doing and He knows your path.  Be Encouraged, Be Faithful and keep me posted on how it goes.

And most of all, don’t let money cause you fear. Fear is an ugly thing and it has crippled many people’s dreams and visions.

Do you rely on Faith to Market your Business

Questions first- Answers follow:

1)How many times have you made decisions in your business and had a tight feeling gnawing at you in the pit of your stomach?

→ Many of us have experienced this gnawing in the pit of our stomach. This is the first indication that something just doesn’t feel right in the deal we are about to make. It’s a warning for our spirit, a red flashing light that is given to us. However, it is our choice how we react to it and what decision we make.

2. How many times have you ignored the feeling?

→ Don’t get defensive! Many times we choose to ignore this feeling, thinking that we know this is the right way to go. Sometimes it turns out ok, many times it doesn’t. We justify our actions by telling ourselves that “it was a learning lesson” but we know that it usually ends up making us bitter to which ever media or company we lost our butts too.

3. How many times has that decision come back to bite you in the butt?

→ On a normal, especially for me, when I go against the gut feeling I have a 98% rate of it coming back to bite me in the butt.  This is true in most businesses, however business owners fail to see it until years down the road. Why?  Because the are focusing on what to do to grow their business in a frame of mind that leaves them open to every “best thing since the butter knife” scheme that comes along.

4. How much money has been wasted by making those bad decisions?

→ Thousands of dollars each month are wasted on these bad decisions, especially for new or young companies trying to make their mark on the community and the world.

5. How to avoid making bad decisions?

→ Listen to your gut feeling. It’s there for a reason!  As a sales person and the Head of our Marketing Dept. I know when someone is hesitating about using our services.  The body language is totally different and will change when you switch from services to when you start talking money, especially when it is out of “their perceived price range”.  So my advice here is… if you have a gut feeling, take a day or two to think about what is offered, do the research to make sure they are who they say they are, ask for local references in the area already using the service, make sure it is a fit for your business (this is a big key) and find a friend or coach to discuss it with if you still have doubts.

No matter what you think, do or attempt the final piece of advice is to pray about it!  God gave you the Holy Spirit as a guide. So why not talk to the Master when you are making decisions in your business.

Market your business by Faith, trust the message you receive and reap the rewards of your do diligence. Have a safe and fun Memorial Weekend and God Bless all of you who are striving to include God in your life, your business and your Marketing.

Christian Values in Today’s World

This article has some really good insights and I wanted to share it with you.  As a Christian business owner I know all to well how the world looks at Christian businesses and the labels that they get saddled with.

Christian Values in Business – How important is Integrity?
Unfortunately we have to write articles on Christian values in business and this tells us that there is definitely a problem. It’s kind of like the “Do Not Take Orally” stickers on Preparation H. There are things we should not have to discuss, but today many things have to be said anyway. Character, honesty, integrity, and honor are words of the past and can no longer be taken for granted.

Through technological and industrial ambition, the United States has changed dramatically over the last hundred years. Once a country where most industry leaders were bent on greatness, today we find them lacking in character and integrity. Early last century, industry and business leaders would find a need, find a way to fill that need, and eventually capitalize on that need. Industry leaders of the past could not imagine the embarrassment of getting caught cheating even one customer. There was a code of honor and character in business. Though not all of them were honest, the majority of them could be depended on for their fairness. Even though they competed fiercely for profits and market share, they created a system of fairness. Today that trait has all but diminished and has been replaced with greed and flawed systems.

With the Enron’s of the world and others padding their books for Executive benefit, there exists a cycle of deceit and horrid corruption for the sake of competition and shareholder satisfaction. The corruption and competition happens internally and externally in almost every business in America. Where the far majority of business owners acted honorable in years past, today the majority of business owners are deficient in character.

Christian Values in Business – The Christian Distinction
Do you have Christian values in business that reflect to the outsider? One of the saddest facts today is that one often cannot tell a Christian-run business from a business ran by an unbeliever. It seems that the American Christian business person compartmentalizes his faith, family, and business. Shouldn’t our faith resonate through all aspects of our lives?

What areas do you make concessions in your life? Are they concessions of your integrity, your character, or do you even pay attention any more? The reality is that today the church is being watched closer than ever before because of our wanting Christian brothers. As Christian business men and women, we must stand firm in our faith and family more then ever. Not just because our Lord commands it, but because the world is watching, including our children. What kind of generation are we going to leave behind when everyone sees the Christian business owner taking as many shortcuts as our non-believing competitor?

Christian Values in Business – Consider Your Business
Have you established Christian values in business? Has your faith directly affected the way you do business?

The truth is that most business owners who claim to be Christian are probably not, however they make the world believe they are by wearing the title of Christian. You and I need to allow the world to see a difference between those who say they are and those who live as they are.

F.R.O.G. Method of Marketing by Faith

How does faith play into your business? Do you use the guidance from God to make the necessary decisions needed to be successful in your business and in your life?

Do you use the F. R. O. G. method?

F – Fully

R – Relying

O – on

G – God

Relying on God is the key to the success you seek!

Did you know that women are now the primary decision makers or significant influencers in more than 80 per cent of consumer purchasers. And they’re not just buying makeup and washing powder and keeping the storecupboard stocked.

Women are responsible for 65 per cent of vehicle purchases,

50 per cent of personal computer purchases

and also buy a hefty percentage of all luxury items, travel and leisure products.

They have emerged as the most influential consumer force in history.

Women want to form a bond with the companies and brands they do business with. And they are increasingly in a position to demand this relationship and to punish marketers who fail to deliver it by taking their business to those few enlightened marketers who “get it” – the ones who are creating brands that women will want to join, not just to buy.

Do you think that women have stepped out in faith using the F.R.O.G. method in our world today?  Women have many facets of their life where they have had to step up and take the reigns to survive.  Are you marketing to women as well as men? Have you changed the way you think to encompass what women want.

This is truly a marketing by faith situation.  But if you know the facts, you will know what needs to be done.  And you will be successful in the process.

As a woman owned business, I have felt the pains of working in a man’s world and have overcome the obstacles.  How??? Marketing my company with the F.R.O.G. method.  I have given my business success to God and over the last 7 years have survived the ups and downs the world has thrown my way.

I would love to hear from others – men and women who have successfully survived using the F.R.O.G. method in their business.

Have a blessed day and Market by Faith!!

Where is your heart when you think about work? Life? God?

Is work a four letter word to you? Do you dread having to go to work and face the same thing day in and day out?

Life does not have to be lived this way. You are meant to be happy. Finding fulfillment in your life through your family, your job and your faith.

Many people struggle to find the fulfillment in their life. They also fail to include God in their life until something bad happens and then they blame God for the bad stuff going on.  Hurt, pain, anger, depression, struggling, dread… these are not things from God.

Again, Life does not have to be lived this way. You are meant to be happy. Finding fulfillment in your life through your family, your job and your faith.

When you have the faith in God to provide for your needs, your prayers will be answered. God wants you to be happy in your life. He wants you to be successful in your job. He wants you to have the love of a good spouse and the love of children surrounding you.

God’s desire for you is to have peace in your heart. He does not bring evil to you, He is not the one that causes bad things to happen. We do that all by ourselves.

Take a look at your heart… where do you stand? Is your footsteps following faith or do your footsteps always get caught in the traps of life.

I would love to hear from you on what your heart is telling you.

Have a blessed day
